Calypso Content Manager (CCM)

Calypso Content Manager (CCM) is an online application that enables the wholesaler to source, create and deliver rich travel sales content to support Calypso Internet booking engines (CalypsoNet & Calypso Dynamic Packager) and travel websites. The content can be extracted automatically from Calypso, feed from 3rd party system or entered in manually via a user-friendly web form.

All content within the CCM is available to consumer and trade websites thus ensuring product consistency, superior workflow productivity and intelligent reuse of existing content.

Calypso Content Manager

The two core components of CCM are;

Supplier Publisher

Calypso customers typically maintain a vast library of information that describes their supplier's products such as hotel room descriptions. Supplier Publisher makes this information available as XML which can be published as branded web pages and printable documents.

Holiday Publisher

A user-friendly Internet browser based application, that enables product and marketing teams to create on-demand and scheduled promotional offers. Typically, the promotional content will describe a multi-product package, such as a flight and hotel offer. Additional 'meta' data is stored with the promotional content such as sale and travel validity, pricing information and key product promotion features, which can then be later searched against by website visitors. Holiday Publisher content can also link directly to Supplier Publisher content to ensure product consistency, enhanced product speed to market and seamless supplier product comparisons. For example, a holiday package could display 3 hotel choices from which the visitor can view and choose.

Technology Platform

The CCM makes extensive use of XML which is the technical standard for content distribution within the travel industry. This is a solution that will support future distribution and content management initiatives like handing off to brochure production or online 3rd party white-branding partnerships.
